The project RoboLAB was taking place at Odonien in Cologne, Germany. Odonien was seen as a junkyard. In this age, it is used as an art and culture area. Odonien is now a well-known center for underground art and culture, hosting exhibitions, parties, and the robot-art-festival Robodonien. In general the topic of the year 2020 of Robodonien was: Circolaris. It is inspired by the idea of the golden record: A message from earth sent into outer space to an unknown alien audience.

Together with the artist Kal Spelletich from San Francisco, we created art and technology that included all people with diverse disabilities. In the process of planning, we were facing a lot of different obstacles. How could we include all kinds of disability in this project? Researching and informing about different disabilities and adapting the research to our interactive sculptures was hard but manageable. Figuring out how to produce interactive art in a pandemic was another problem. We successfully solved this problem by adapting different installations which were respected by the hygenic plan we created for this event

The sensor measured the distance between the ground and the bottom of the elevator
