“Goal of this project is to design the prototype of a mobile spatial and service concept, for temporary set ups at any place, inspiring people to participate in urban processes.”
In a place for citizen participation, there are often different methods to record answers to questions or prompts, as well as serving as a starting point for further discussion.
But to know what these should be, there is one key question that needs to be answered: what do we want to find out? For us, this was: how does the modular system work? How can it be attractive for people to participate? How practical is it? What would the participant want to add or change? to name a few.
After setting everything up at Ebertplatz, we all had our own parts of the concept to oversee and evaluate. But most importantly, we were able to interact with the people at Ebertplatz and hear their thoughts.

To be a citizen is to participate, but that act of participation needs to be facilitated, accessible, in for instance urban projects to foster and ALLOW citizen participation on a higher level.
And with our project, we hope to have created a starting point for this.
