AR, VR and XR technologies are opening new ways of how we interact with our physical surrounding, these technologies are getting more and more a part of our daily lives.
Translating the motion into the virtual world we can go from 2D to 3D and enter the created world. It can be deployed if you want to demonstrate something or introduce new speculative ideas. Create known and unknown; the limits are endless in an unreal world. This can be used for different occasions and help with better communication.
The new ‘’album amicorum’’
Fusion of a poetry album and the future-fiction:
The oldest precursor of the poetry album already existed in the 16th century. It was also called „album amicorum“. This is Latin and means „album of friends“. In the album one wrote a dedication to another person with his name and nice sayings.In the 18th century, dedications and many drawings were added to the texts, and in the course of time the ancestor books became memory books.It was not until the 19th century that people of all social classes began to use poetry albums, previously it was only used by the elite. The purpose of the albums were, to show how important the social contacts of individuals were and thus were considered proof of their prestige.
Nowadays we spend more time on the computer and still have not reinvented the poetry album. The new album amicorum is a creation of shared online space, where everyone is welcome. You can get creative or inspired with other people in one room and share your favorite music, art or movies.
